Each Rug in the Contour Collection is handmade in our Brooklyn studio. The pieces showcase line drawings reminiscent of blind contour drawings. Each line follows a path created by lustrous cotton hand tufted stitches which is outlined by an edge defining short pile. The background is constructed by resilient 100% wool loop pile that was meticulously hand-tufted to give a pixelated look to the line drawing. The textures play out with their differing height and opposing tufting directions resulting in a unique tactile surface texture.
